Strange Anomaly caught at Lydiate Abbey

Lydiate Abbey

what a night. The night started with a walk into the Abbey and a circle. During this time we were aware of the presence of spirit although at this stage we had no communication. There was a certain part of the abbey that seemed to draw a member of the team. the temperature in this spot rose from 8 degrees. to 14 15 at times. We couldn't explain the rise however the spot did feel hot. No other spot in the Abbey was as warm as this spot.

We then progressed into the Scotch piper. Here we done a number of experiments We were able to communicate with Robert Osmond the pilot that died when his plane crashed into the abbey. We were also aware of many many soldiers marching, marching they knew they were marching to their deaths.

Several members of the team felt different things from dizziness to light trance. And one member got really upset as she had a vision of what they did to the poor children who were sacrificed. The Night was non stop with several small séances going on at once. It was a night full of activity and one I personally cannot wait to return to.

Williamson Tunnels

What a night, the night began with a tour around the tunnels and sensing spirit. There were several sightings of Joseph Williamson along with lots of bumps and bangs. We also had touching and at one point a member was pinched twice. Other members felt spirit touching them. I had my bottom pinched lol. On the Ouija board we contacted Joseph he gave us quite a lot of snippets of info. We were also joined by a spirit called Charles who was a ladies man and wanted sex lol And Michael a 9 year old child who was horse whipped to death. A member of the team got very emotional and at one point cried. Each and everyone of us felt or saw something. And several at the same time. We were also accompanied by a strange mist. Which seemed to come and go at will. We heard deep sighs whimpering and a whistle.

At the end of the night Dave the Manager of the tunnels joined us and gave us an impromptu tour of tunnels that were not yet open to the public, if indeed they will be. I have to say I was in awe of Williamson and the work that he had done. I was also in awe of the people who strive to protect and dig out the tunnels. Dave gave us a talk on the history of the tunnels. He is such a clever man who's work should be recognised. He works tirelessly because he deeply believes in saving the tunnels. We eventually left the tunnels at 4.30am tired but thrilled that we had been entertained by Dave and Spirit.

The date Saturday 29th of August 2009 and the time 21.30 .The Location Williamson Tunnels at Brownlow Hill, Liverpool,
We arrived at 20.30hrs, it was a warm saturday evening in August. The first thing you notice as you drive into the small car park at the Williamson tunnel grounds is the old cobbled road. Across the cobbled road stands the entrance to the tunnels with it's huge glass windows. This historical building is dated from the early 18th century. .After a quick health and safety briefing we undertook a quick tour of the upper chamber. We looked at the amazing finds which had been unearthed whilst excavating the tunnels during which our medium informed us we were being followed by the man himself Mr Joseph Williamson.
We started the investigation off walking down from the upper level chamber to the lower level tunnel, descending down some stairs to what can only be described as a huge underground cave with lots of tunnels running off it. We were totally in the dark, you could just make out one small light at the far end of the walkway exit. We started calling out the name of Joseph Williamson this is when I got my first sighting of a male shape figure on the upper stairway.
Our medium told us the great man himself was still with us and he was curious why we where here. My mind was still thinking of this shape on the staircase a few minutes ago!!.The names of Richard Tate and a young boy called Michael Johnson kept coming up in our investigation but I will come to them later.
As we continued to call out for Joseph Williamson this is when I got a pinch at the back of my neck. As a sceptic the reason could have been a spider or an insect falling from the roof or a hair pulling from my jacket. but the strange feeling at the time was a contact with cold fingers. This put the whole of my body into a shockwave,

During a séance the letters T-F-Z-L-L-E-A--B--D--T and the word VEX-AVE came out which had no relevance or

meaning to our investigation.

Did Mean something.

1780 at the age of 11 years Williamson moved to Merseyside and was employed in the tobacco and snuff business of Richard Tate. He gained promotion within the business and also developed his own merchant's business in partnership with Joseph Leigh. In 1787 Richard Tate died and control of the business passed to his son, Williamson married Thomas' sister, Elizabeth in later years

The night progressed quietly with only a few unexplained whistles and bangs, but this changed at 1.30 am when the cave was filled with a strange odourless mist.

As we walked along the footpath in total darkness our medium came out with the names Richard Tate and Michael Johnson, He was a young boy who was whipped to death in the late 1800's. It was now 1.45 and we arrived back at the reception area to set up the table with the Ouija board. The letters c-h-a-r-l-I-e came out which spells the name Charlie!!! We asked "Charlie" where he or she was from. The reply was" far-a-way " We tried calling out different towns names in the U.K. in the hope of a response and eventually got one when I called out "are you from down south" to which "Charlie" indicated yes!! One of our team said " Nottingham" and this was answered with a yes. We asked "Charlie" if he had ever been to prison which drew another yes! Eventually he told us that his incarceration was for stealing. Charlie also stated he had had an affair with Joseph Williamson's wife! With Joseph still following us we asked Charlie if he and Joseph got along and the reply was a

stern NO!

I suggested using the night vision camera. This would be a big mistake!! A large note pad was placed onto the table. A small wooden block with a hole in the middle to support a pen was placed on the pad. We asked if anyone was here to please draw us a sign.

Only two fingers are on the wood at any one time.

A drawing was made and what looked like

the letters "JW"

was drawn in ink.

Could this be Joseph Williamson himself?.

Then at this moment my left arm jacket was pulled and I felt a nip to my upper arm.

The same type of nip happened to me at the lower chamber!

You can't help but appreciate the genius behind the Williamson Tunnels right from the offset, and it doesn’t finish there. The sheer scale is just as amazing as the initial impressions of the place. The atmosphere and overall feel of the tunnels is enticing from the moment you enter the building, and you can’t wait to get in and explore every inch. There was not a single part of the night that was in any way a let down. We were kept busy by various sighting, sensing, and sounds from spirits. A few incidents of physical touching from spirits keeping us on our toes for the night, and keen for more.

The séance which took place at one point during the evening was an interesting experience, in which we were honoured to have the company of Joseph Williamson on the Ouija board, as well as an introduction to another spirit present, by the name of Charles. Who both infact turned out to be rather playful at one point. Mirrored by the presence of a 9 year old boy, who revealed himself to named Michael.

The extra tour we received from tunnel manager Dave was such an eye opener to the actual genius that was Williamson. We had the treat of being taken to a section of tunnel which was only newly excavated, and was still a work in progress. Its refreshing to see someone as passionate about their conservation work as Dave, who does such a brilliant job in ensuring he tunnels are appreciated in a way they truly deserve.

Our night at the tunnels was such a fantastic experience, and one I would most defiantly take part in again.

On our last rip to Walton Hall a lot of people heard the children or claimed to have seen them in the piano room. However it wasn't until I got home and analysed the recording that I did did it become clear that I had captured spirit not once but several times. If you go to the review page the EVP from these experiments is there. Walton hall is a lovely place to begin your investigative Journey, it is very gentle and although there is an angry ghost there, it isn't harmful. The place seems full of cheeky children who you can hear laughing and giggling. You may even feel you bottom being pinched. This is the naughty children of Walton Hall

In Lady Daresbury's room you get the over bearing sense of loss, one of deep sadness Once you get into the investigation you will find out why.

OMG what a night. I have been on quite a few tours, first time with this company I can't believe the activity. In the Piano room you could feel the children hiding, Then when they did come out they joined in the singing Annette is excellent and really gets you involved. I will be going again soon Cant wait
